‘There is a sunflower in my supper’

Year 1 show ‘There is a sunflower in my supper’ was a big success. The choice of play script was just perfect for Year 1 children. Dressed in wonderful costumes, all the children had a chance to shine on stage either signing, acting, dancing or playing   musical instruments. Well done to Year1!

Reception Production of ‘Hey Ewe’

Earlier this term Reception put on a fantastic performance of ‘Hey Ewe!’. We are so proud of all the children who were incredibly brave, confident and hard working. Thank you to everyone involved and the amazing contribution the parents made at the end of the shows to our chosen charity ‘Save the Children’.

Eco Schools Silver

On 12th May 2013 we successfully achieved the Eco Schools Silver Award. The Silver Award criteria focused on strengthening pupil leadership and whole school involvement while the school started to work on at least one of the Eco-Schools topics in depth. There is evidence that the school grounds have been improved, recycling and waste are being audited and improvement plans are in place, energy is monitored regularly and involvement in the EDF Energy ‘The Pod’ Switch-off Fortnight has raised awareness of reducing energy consumption by turning off lights and equipment when not in use. We have also achieved RHS Campaign for School Gardening Level 1 and Level 2 Benchmarking Certificates, EDF Energy The Pod Bronze medal (2012) and Silver Medal
