Swan Lake & Ballet Workshop Year 1

Year 1 have had a truly
magical experience this
term as they travelled to
the Peacock Theatre to
watch a stunning
performance of Swan
Lake. The children were
captivated by the elegant
dancing, beautiful music, and
enchanting story — it was a
wonderful introduction to the world
of ballet.
But the excitement didn’t stop
there! Later in the term,
the dancers themselves
visited the school to lead
a special ballet
workshop. The children
were thrilled to meet the
performers and learn
some of the graceful
moves they had seen on
stage. From twirls and
tiptoes to expressive
storytelling through
movement, Year 1
embraced the chance to
become dancers
themselves. It was a
truly inspiring
experience that
brought the arts to life
and encouraged
creativity, confidence,
and joy through dance.
