Puppet Workshop Year 2

Year 2 had a special visitor
earlier this term who engaged
them in a puppet-making
workshop led by the Polka
Theatre, inspired by the
classic tale Jack and the Beanstalk.
The children explored the story in a new
and imaginative way, designing and creating
their very own puppets based on
characters from the tale. Using a
variety of materials, they brought
giants, cows, beanstalks — and of
course, Jack — to life with colour,
creativity, and flair!
As well as making their puppets, the
children
had a
chance to experiment with performance,
learning how to move and speak as their
characters. It was a fantastic opportunity
to build storytelling and drama skills
while having lots of fun.
